A bit about Carlos Diogo
Wikipedia is our friend...
Carlos Diogo is a Uruguayan national who plays for Real Zaragoza in the Spanish La Liga league.
He is the son of one of the best Uruguayan players with the same name.
Carlos signed for Real Madrid in 2005 however this didn't work out and he made the move to Zaragoza in 2007. He is partial to a nice incident recently getting involved in one with Lusia Fabiano putting him in a strangle hold!

Valuation and contract
In our test game Carlos was rated at £5m so we bid
£6.5m and it was declined, upping the offer to £7.0m still didn't work so a big fee, maybe even his min release clause fee of £13.75m would be needed to get him.
Stats
In our test game we had a look at his stats and have written a bit about each one. What are his strengths.
Passing |
Carlos plays all down the right side, in both defence or midfield so passing is a vital stat and he delivers here. |
Tackling |
As above Carlos plays in two positions and tackling is the other stat he needs to be good at both and he is qualified here. |
Off the ball |
For a wingback off the ball activity is important as you want them racing forward as well as coming back to defend so having a good stat he is very important. |
Determination |
Determined and talented = goooood. Carlos also has a high aggression rating so really this isn't great but you want a player to fight for his team. |
Pace |
There are some wingbacks out there without pace, and lets face it, they suck. Carlos has pace and can race down that wing providing chances for others. |
The Gaffa's opinion
Carlos is a superb player to start with let along taking into account his potential, if you need a good right sided defender/wingback sign this player.
Rating: Great player with tones of potential.
